TRIBOARD HOUSE
December 2021. Course work. Prof. Adrian Phiffer.
The Triboard House is a project through which I was encouraged to ask questions about living atop a 5 m x 11 m lot sat along a Kensington Market arterial. Can the wall of a private home be a billboard? Must domestic privacy be sacrificed for transparency? How does one live in a home wallpapered with advertisements and murals? For the sake of this scenario, I imagined that the ground floor of this boxy house could be an office for a signage business, while the second and third floors would the regular living quarters for its owners. Concept exploration was primarily done through physical modeling: see the homemade billboard and building prototype atop a collaborative site model.
