TRIBOARD HOUSE: Image
BACKYARD CAMPING
Densifying Toronto's Yellowbelt
December 2020. Course work. Prof. Sam Ghantous.
This project is a graphic investigation into housing adjacency in the 2-km area surrounding Finch and Brimley. The cul-de-sac development in this area is ripe for investigating conditions such as access routes to backyards, massing and property typologies, and vegetation coverage. I speculated that homes in these cul-de-sacs express different familial relationships, each of which works to inform the typology and positioning of their respective proposed massing interventions. In the full-bleed isometric drawing I imagined how homes and interventions that I had previously isolated by classification could together comprise a new type of cul-de-sac.
